Six of the best for rampant Saints as they soar past hapless Haverfordwest

TNS were coming into this game unbeaten in the league and this was evident straight from the off, the Saints completely dominated from start to finish and fired six past a starstruck Haverfordwest defence.

TNS completely dominated the first 10 minutes, but the first chance fell to the visitors, Kurtis Rees firing wide of the mark with nine minutes on the clock. Limbrick’s side put lots of early pressure on a leaky County defence, a couple of corners and dangerous crosses cleared well. The first real chance fell to the home side, lovey linkup play fell to Louis Robles, who produced a fine save from Haverfordwest keeper Wojciech Gajda. The Polish keeper couldn’t deny Ryan Brobbel’s fine header from putting TNS one up. Danny Redmond ran at the County defence and his dangerous ball across the face nodded home by TNS’ number 8.

The Saints doubled their lead a short time following the first. Ryan Brobbel turned provider for Declan McManus, who grabbed his 10th of the season. Brobbel dispossessed the a Haverfordwest man in the middle of the park and plays a through ball to the Saints marksman who calmly slotted home.

The league leaders showed their class and nearly grabbed a third after half an hour. Danny Redmond persistently troubling the Bluebirds backline with a great cross but Louis Robles heads over. A poor defensive error was capitalised by Dec McManus and he scored his second and TNS’ third.

The first change of the game was made 1 minute before the break, Haverfordwest’s skipper Dylan Rees was forced off with an injury and replaced by Mason Jones-Thomas.

The Saints looked lively after the break and scored their fourth on the hour mark. A freekick was swung in and only partially cleared by the Haverfordwest defence, this fell to Danny Redmond who volleyed in beautifully.

The Saints made their second change, Louis Robles being replaced by Jordan Williams. Dec McManus was marginally close to snatching his hattrick, his shot parried away by an outstretching Gajda. Eventually, he grabbed his third and TNS’ fifth. Danny Redmond played the Saints marksman in and he took ownership of the match ball. TNS made a double change, Hattrick hero Dec McManus and Jonathan Routledge replaced by Dean Ebbe and Leo Smith. The visitors had the chance to score a late consolation in the 83rd minute, Danny Redmond gave the ball away cheaply, which presented Ben Fawcett with an opening. The Haverfordwest man failed to capitalise though, and fired wide from distance. The Saints caused more misery on the Bluebirds as they added a sixth. With just a minute to play, substitute, Dean Ebbe, rounded off the scoring with an edge-of-the-box volley past an outrushed Wojciech Gajda, and capped off another superb afternoon for his side and extended TNS’ lead at the top of the Cymru Premier to 7 points.
